Energy

Produce and store clean, autonomous energy — solar, wind, micro-hydro, biogas.

Why autonomous renewable energy

Energy autonomy is the first building block of a territory's dignity and development. In regions like Cauca (Colombia), hundreds of localities remain unconnected to the grid, while micro-hydropower offers continuous energy there, day and night, without the intermittency of solar or wind. Equalium demonstrates, in a real place, that clean, frugal and repairable energy is within reach of communities — and passes on the know-how to deploy it.

Production

Solar (photovoltaic, thermal, passive), wind, micro-hydro, biogas and anaerobic digestion.

Storage

Recent technologies (vanadium redox flow) and low-tech solutions: gravity, flywheel, thermal, hybridisation.

Transmission

Training in energy autonomy and research on the sizing of micro-grids.

Production
Production

From sunlight to the current of a river, every territory has its resources. At the centre, we combine solar (photovoltaic, thermal, passive), wind, micro-hydropower and biogas, with modern and reliable equipment — to show how to produce, here and now, clean energy suited to the place.

Storage
Storage

Producing is not enough: you have to store in order to have energy day and night. We demonstrate both recent technologies (vanadium redox flow batteries) and robust, repairable low-tech solutions — gravity storage, flywheel, thermal storage — and their hybridisation according to needs and means.

Transmission
Transmission

Autonomy has value only when shared. Through practical training and research on micro-grid sizing, we equip communities to design, install and maintain their own energy system themselves — sustainably.

Contributes to SDG 7 — clean and affordable energy for all.
