About Equalium
A foundation dedicated to the balance between humankind and nature.
Equalium creates and sustains centres of demonstration, training and applied research dedicated to the sustainable autonomy of territories. Our conviction: another balance between human beings and their environment is possible — and it can be demonstrated, taught and reproduced.
What we do
Demonstrate
That an autonomous and regenerative way of life is viable.
Transmit
Through practical training, local communities first.
Research
Solutions suited to each territory.
Spread
By supporting the replication of the model.
A recognised framework
Equalium is part of the global Education for Sustainable Development agenda led by UNESCO, and contributes to eight Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. We adapt a model already proven by pioneering centres — Chaikuni (Peru), Barefoot College (India, +96 countries), CAT (Wales) — to the rural regions of Latin America — from the Andean corridor to the Mesoamerican highlands — where it does not yet exist.
A foundation under construction
Equalium's legal structure is being created. Until then, the project is carried in his own name by Myrko Federico. We move forward step by step, with rigour and transparency, in partnership with the communities and institutions that share this vision.
The founder
Equalium was born from the journey of Myrko Federico — engineer, craftsman and guide — who has spent his whole life seeking to connect technology, matter and the human being into a single balance.
