Data protection declaration and other terms of use

Data protection

The data collected when visiting this website (“digital presence”) is processed by Federico Solutions (we) as the provider of this website. Further information can be found at Federico Solutions (Equalium.org).

The protection of your personal data is very important to us. This is why we handle your personal data with the utmost care and in accordance with the explicit legal provisions of data protection law.

This data protection declaration informs you about our data processing methods. We explain what data we process when you access this web presence.

Who holds the data collected?

The data controller is Federico Solutions , 105, rte du Bois-de-Bay CH 1242 Satigny.

What data do we collect?

In general, you can use our digital presence without revealing any personal data. In accordance with standard practice, certain data, such as IP addresses and other usage information, are collected automatically by our web analysis software, then evaluated and processed in an anonymized manner. By using our digital presence, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of such data in accordance with the provisions of this data protection declaration.

Automatic protocols

Our web servers automatically document all requests in a temporary protocol file. User-specific data (e.g. the IP address of the computer used, the identification data of the browser used, the operating system of the computer used, the amount of data transmitted, the name of the Internet service provider, the date and time of access) and technical data (e.g. the name and URL of the starting website, when the website was opened via a link and also the keyword if the website was accessed via a link) are documented and evaluated anonymously. This data is required primarily to enable the use of our content (login), as well as for internal system-related purposes – such as technical administration and system security.

We do not use your data for any other purpose, unless you have given your express consent to further processing in connection with the use of certain services.

Data processing

To use some of our online services, you must first register with Equalium using your personal data and agree to the use of your data. Use of the relevant services is subject to the contractual agreement and the relevant conditions of participation or general terms and conditions (GTC). Furthermore, we only process personal data if you send it to us, for example by filling in an online form or by sending us a message via our contact forms.
In these cases, we ask you to provide only the personal data we need to provide the services offered. The information made available to us is entered into our IT systems.

How do we use your data?

Data collection helps us to develop and improve our digital presence and to optimize our service offerings. We use the data collected for the following purposes:

  • To enable you to use our digital presence (establish a connection).
  • For internal website management, e.g. technical administration and system security.
  • To optimize user-friendliness, we collect statistics on user behavior on our digital presences. This data is processed anonymously.
  • To make the login available, as well as online services and their contractual processing.
  • To make our website specific to groups (by targeted content or information on the website that may be of interest to you).
  • To prevent scams and increase security on our website.
Other purposes in accordance with the contractual agreement and the corresponding terms of participation or general terms of business.

How do we use cookies?

We use cookies for anonymous evaluation of general user behavior. The aim is to optimize digital presences. This means making them easier to use and content easier to find. It’s about organizing and structuring them in a more comprehensible way. We want to make our digital presences as user-friendly as possible, according to your needs. In this way, we can optimize our specific website with targeted content or information on the website that might be of interest to you.
On our websites, we use re-targeting or re-marketing methods. These are instruments of online marketing. If you visit other websites of third-party providers, recommendations and ratings are shown to you with targeted displays. Only anonymized data is transmitted to third-party suppliers, making personal identification impossible.

Web analysis services

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. To deactivate Google Analytics, Google provides a browser plug-in at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=fr. Google Analytics uses cookies. These enable Google to analyze the use of our website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website (including your IP address) will usually be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Please note that on this website, the code “gat._anonymizeIp();” has been added to Google Analytics to ensure anonymous recording of IP addresses (IP address masking). If anonymization is active, Google abbreviates IP addresses within the member states of the European Union or in the other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area, which makes it impossible to draw any conclusions about your identity. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA, where it will be abbreviated. Google complies with the data protection provisions of the “Privacy Shield” agreement, is registered with the US Department of Commerce as part of the “Privacy Shield” program and uses the information collected to evaluate the use of our websites, to compile reports on this use for us and to provide us with other services in this respect. For further information, please visit https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Phishing and Internet scams

Attempts to defraud the Internet are increasingly focusing on the possible inattention of users to gain access to desired data. Here’s some information on what you and Federico Solutions can do about it, and who you can contact if you have any suspicions.

What can you do about suspicious messages/calls?

If you suspect that you have received a falsified message (or a suspicious call) on behalf of Federico Solutions and would like to clarify this, please contact our customer service department.

Pay attention:

  • Federico Solutions never asks its customers for personal security details such as passwords or credit card numbers by e-mail or telephone.
  • Beware of unsolicited e-mails.
  • Whenever possible, enter the Internet addresses for an Equalium login domain manually in the address field of your Internet browser.
  • Compare the sender’s name with the e-mail address and the address actually registered. You can do this by hovering your mouse over the e-mail address, or, on tablets and smartphones, by leaving your finger/touchpen over the link without pressing. E-mails identified as phishing attempts are deleted immediately.
  • Check your system for malware in the Swiss Internet Security Alliance (SISA) online checker.
  • If possible, only make purchases on the Internet via reputable and secure online payment providers, and only give out your credit card details if you trust the merchant completely.
Use passwords that are as secure as possible, with upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters.

You’ve already transmitted the data, what can you do?

If you have entered your data on a phishing site, immediately change your access or e-mail passwords for Equalium services and online services in your Equalium account.

As access to other portals such as social networks, auction platforms or other payment systems as well as your credit card data is via Equalium login information, protection is ensured after adaptation of the access data. If, in addition to Equalium, you use other login data, you must change these directly with the service provider concerned.

Report phishing emails

We also need your help to combat phishing scams. By reporting phishing attempts to the Swiss Federal IT Service MELANI, you can help protect other Internet users. Such a message helps to close down the phishing page more quickly, thus reducing the chances of success for scammers. For this purpose, MELANI operates a special website where you can report links to phishing pages or phishing e-mails without comment.
